Leveling Up Experience is awarded from mod to trainer each time a KO occurs in a battle. Players may edit moves and evolve Pokemon they control without mod supervision, but should always remember that the Pokemon itself decides when to evolve and what moves to learn. Pokemon below level twenty gain between one to three levels per battle as determined by the overseeing mod. Pokemon between levels twenty to thirty gain between .5 to two levels per battle. Experience continues to scale past this point and is subject to change pending further testing.
Evolving is a willed process that a Pokemon can undergo any point after it fulfills its evolution requirements. It may choose to do so immediately mid-battle, but this takes two "turns" and leaves it open to attack.
Pokemon can be devolved to their Basic Stage at any point using an Everstone, but willful Pokemon may simply evolve again.
Mega Evolution doesn't currently exist in the Cerian canon. Do not reference Mega Evolution at any time.
Baby Pokemon are Pokemon that are not yet fully developed. They are always level 0 and their attacks will have barely any noticeable effect. Baby Pokemon develop from level 0 to 1 over time depending on the species of Pokemon.

Learning Moves Replacing an old move with a new one upon leveling up is an instantaneous and instinctual process for a Pokemon. Each Pokemon on Ceriah can have up to six moves at any given time.
Ceriah introduces several systems that change what learning new moves will mean to your Pokemon. The first is the implementation of the Move Library. In addition to its Moveset - the six moves the Pokemon currently has at its disposal - every Pokemon has a Move Library consisting of every move it has ever learned. Any Pokemon can passively choose to begin swapping one move in its Moveset for one in its Move Library at any point, a process which takes approximately twelve hours. It can do this with as many moves as it likes simultaneously, allowing it to change its Moveset overnight.
Learning new moves - and adding them to your Move Library - works differently on Ceriah. In order to learn a move, the Pokemon must first dedicate one of its six moves towards a weakened version of the attack it's attempting to learn. It may begin this process up to four levels below the level it would normally learn this attack in the games. For example, if it would normally learn a move at level ten it may add it to its Moveset at level six.
The move starts at an effectiveness of 20% and raises by 20% every time the Pokemon gains a level. Once it reaches 100%, it can be added to the Pokemon's Move Library.
If the Pokemon evolves into a form that doesn't learn a move before it completely learns it then the move will be capped at the percentage it was when the Pokemon evolved and it cannot be relearned if forgotten.
Unlike moves learned naturally, moves learned via TMs will be learned completely and instantly.
All Pokemon have a chance of inheriting moves from their parents. This includes valid egg move, valid TMs, and any valid level-up moves. Level-up moves are the most common and egg moves are the rarest. When a mod spawns a Pokemon, they do hidden dice rolls to determine what moves the child might have inherited. Most commonly, this will manifest in a Pokemon having access to moves it wouldn't normally have until a higher level.
To recap, this means that any move learned is a permanent investment even when removed from the Pokemon's Moveset and that Pokemon with expansive Move Libraries will be able to adapt their Movesets to overcome different challenges. Collect as many moves as you can for a versatile Pokemon!
