Gym Leader Jacquelyn
Reputed engineer and inventor, Jacquelyn De Vere is known throughout the city as one of the foremost leading experts in her field. Naturally, having played part in designing and maintaining some of the most important facilities in the region she is extremely analytical and fastidious. It’s in her nature to take note of even the tiniest of details, especially when it comes to work or battles. No matter how serious she might appear during a close match, she always relishes a good challenge.
Jacquelyn is twenty-nine years old and stands at five feet and nine inches. She has an average complexion and thin brown hair that she always keeps up in a knot behind her head. Her eyes are a deep, dark blue reminiscent of the ocean and her features are sharp. Jacquelyn’s wardrobe is made up almost entirely of functional and professional suits, which she can be seen wearing even during gym battles.
Despite the large population, gym battles in New Wolfram only receive a small amount of attention from the public due simply to the fact that the population of the city is overall ambivalent towards Pokemon battling. Because of this there are bleachers to accommodate what viewers do show up (admittedly this is likely more than trainers are used to up to this point), but the turnout is never particularly impressive.
The bleachers are off to the right of the indoor, rectangular battleground, raised up and on the other side of a steel gate to both provide a better view and help protect the audience. The field is littered with numerous appliances such as fridges and stoves. After defeating Jacquelyn, trainers will find themselves being treated with more recognition.
