The Department of Pokemon Distribution is the place many new trainers come to get their starters. Trainers must make an appointment and are added into a group of other trainers who will be receiving their Pokemon at the same time. Waiting times can vary between a few days to a few weeks depending on the flow of new trainers.
Beyond the entrance to the building is a moderately-sized lobby. White walls, plush seating and the most recent Pokemon-related magazines decorate the room. Directly across from the entrance is a reception desk.
The following information can be found on brochures distributed to aspiring trainers.
Electrike Electrike is an Electric-type Pokemon that specializes in Special Attack and Speed. The Electrikes you will see at our facility are very easy to tame and should quickly come to enjoy your company, making them an excellent choice for the unexperienced trainer!
Your Electrike will start with Tackle and Thunder Wave and be able to pull off a very weak Leer. Electrike's basic abilities are Static, which gives it a chance to paralyze enemies that attack at close range, and Lightningrod, which will give your Electrike an immunity to Electric-type moves as well as draw all ranged Electric-type attacks to Electrike and strengthen its Special Attack when hit with electricity.
Your Electrike can eat conventional dog food found at any pet store as well as fresh meat. Electrikes store electricity in their fur and while being shocked by its excess electricity is harmless, it should be brushed often to prevent it from accidentally shocking people. For safety purposes, you should never brush your Electrike with a metal brush.
Phanpy Phanpy is a Ground-type Pokemon that specializes in Health, Attack and Defense. Phanpy and its evolution, Donphan, are group-oriented Pokemon that can bond strongly to you and their teammates.
Your Phanpy will start with Odor Sleuth, Tackle, Growl, Defense Curl and an almost fully-learned Flail. Phanpy's basic abilities are Pickup, which gives it a superior ability in locating things by scent, and Sand Veil, which increases its evasive abilities in a Sandstorm.
You can feed your Phanpy a large variety of plant matter including grass, fruits, vegetables, and even tree bark. Your Phanpy will not overeat so allow it to eat until full. Your Phanpy will be very strong for its size so care should be taken to ensure that your Phanpy doesn't accidentally harm you during play.
Seel Seel is a Water-type Pokemon that specializes in Health and Special Defense. They can be very social and friendly creatures and are adept at underwater combat. Seel can be tricky to use on land and isn't for every trainer.
Your Seel will start with Headbutt, Growl and a semi-potent Water Sport. Seel's basic abilities are Thick Fat, which gives it increased protection against Fire and Ice-type moves, and Hydration, which allows it to be quickly cured of any status ailment while in the rain.
Your Seel will require a regular diet of fresh fish and should be kept well-hydrated throughout the day. Your Seel will also appreciate a tub of cold water to relax and play in or being draped in a cool, damp towel.

Promotion For a limited time only, the Pokemon Distribution Center is holding a special event that offers one of the three following Pokemon in addition to the default starters.
Yanma is a Flying- and Bug-type Pokemon that specializes in speed and special attack. With the highest stat total among all of our starters and a powerful ability in Speed Boost, Yanma is a solid Pokemon for those looking for an early advantage. Your Yanma will start with Tackle, Foresight, and an almost fully-mastered Quick Attack. Yanma's basic abilities are Speed Boost, which boosts its speed by one stage every time it uses an attack, and Compound Eyes, which raises the accuracy of its moves by 30% of their original accuracy. You can feed your Yanma a diet of specialized Pokemon food as well as raw meat and fish. Roggenrola is a Rock-type Pokemon that specializes in attack and defense. It's incredibly sturdy and difficult to permanently injure, making it a good choice for the new trainer who's still unsure of their abilities. It's inability to see can make it hard to master, however, so trainers should consider carefully before choosing Roggenrola. Your Roggenrola will start with Tackle, Harden, and a semi-potent Sand Attack. Roggenrola's basic abilities are Sturdy, which allows it to remain standing after one attack that would have normally caused it to faint, and Sand Force, which raises the power of its Rock-, Ground-, and Steel-type moves by 30% during a Sandstorm. You do not need to provide your Roggenrola with food or water and it does not require any special care, making it the most economical of our starters. Cacnea is a Grass-type Pokemon that specializes in attack and special attack. While wild Cacnea are often known for their cruelty and aggression, our Cacnea have been raised from birth to be fully domesticated. Due to the ease of healing Cacnea using its special ability, Cacnea are excellent Pokemon for trainers intending to travel. Your Cacnea will start with Poison Sting, Leer, Absorb, and a very weak Growth. Cacnea's basic abilities are Sand Veil, which grants it increased evasiveness during a Sandstorm, and Water Absorb, which causes it be healed by 1/8 of its health once a minute when hit by a Water-type move or submerged in water. You can feed your Cacnea any Pokemon food targeted towards carnivorous Pokemon as well as raw meat. It requires very little water. Your Cacnea will prefer to be kept in a dry, warm environment and when available will appreciate access to a heat lamp.
