The drifting Seel rolled over so it was no longer floating on its back, pumping its flippers, and the second Seel stopped to watch as it thrust itself out of the pool, shaking itself off and giving an assertive "Seel!" The other Seel seemed to hesitate again at this.
"Cacnea!" the Cacnea chided to the one in the pool, making it flinch. The more dominant Seel glanced at the Grass-type before looking back up at Adrien expectantly, while the second quietly but eagerly nodded again behind it.

Adrien paused for a moment, scratching his chin. He didn't want to tell either Seel no of course but it was now inevitable. Kneeling down, he addressed the Seel on land. "Sorry, you seem like a strong Seel and I'm sure you'll be picked soon." Standing back up, he beckoned the Seel from the water with his hand.

The grounded Seel stuck out its tongue, blowing Adrien a mildly annoyed raspberries before thrusting itself back into the water to continue its lazy drifting.
The other Seel perked up immensely when it was chosen, swimming forward eagerly to flop up in front of Adrien. "Seel, Seel!" it said enthusiastically, clapping its flippers.

Adrien attempted to pat the excited creature on it's head beside its horn. "C'mon, lets try and find a staff member," he told it.

It stared up at Adrien eagerly, the Cacnea tossing it a short comment the human couldn't understand before the Grass-type again took the lead in scouting out another aide. Out of the four there, two were free. Cacnea took it upon himself to choose the closer of the two, an attractive young woman idly watching some of the Electrikes.

Adrien raised a hand to signal the woman as he approached.

She looked up at Adrien and quickly snapped on a smile. "Hey," she said, only giving Adrien's strange clothes a single glance-over before returning her gaze to his face. "Settle on Seel?"

Adrien nodded at her greeting and gave her a smile as her eyes reached his. "Yes, I can see why I might be the only one though," he replied, holding up his soppy arms.

She gave a few, small chuckles. "Yeah, they're a bit tricky to train too," she said, gesturing at the Seel. It stared up at her with big, attentive eyes. "They don't do well battling on land, especially before learning any ranged attacks and they're a bi -" She cut herself off. "They're expensive to feed."

"Yes, I thought I might head towards New Wolfram or Port Lanadia for those very reasons. I imagine it'll quite enjoy the ocean and fresh fish." Adrien replied as he offered his license.

If the Seel was a Lillipup, its tail would be wagging. The woman nodded and went through the same procedure as the previous aide with his Cacnea. "Alright, you're all set," she chimed, handing Adrien his license back.

"Thank you, have a pleasant evening" Adrien replied with a wave as he stepped away. Kneeling down he addressed the two Pokemon. "I have two questions for you. First, do either of you want to enter a training battle here?"

The Seel paused, tilting its head and biting its upper lip.
"Cac," the Grass-type said in a kinda 'eh' voice, shrugging and gesturing loosely between itself and the Seel. "Cacnea Cac." The Water-type opened its mouth as if going to say something, but then didn't and looked up at Adrien instead.

"Just raise your hand... or flipper if you want to. If neither of you want to we just won't," Adrien clarified.

The Cacnea turned to the Seel, giving it a questioning "Cac?" It hesitated another second before giving a single, vigorous nod and awkwardly raising a flipper.
