The Santino Derby
The Santino Derby is one of the most famous attractions in Santino, even more so than their local gym leader. Professional breeders try to breed the fastest Rapidash around and jockeys try to ride them to victory. Going to see the races without some money to burn on betting might as well be a blasphemy, but even if you don't plan on blowing some money the sight of a dozen fiery manes blowing in the wind when the Rapidash hit their maximum speed is truly a sight to behold.
The Casinos
Though the city was originally only home of the derby, gradually casinos began to sprout up nearby until Santino was full of neon and gambling. While there are definitely residents of Santino that disapprove of the increase in gambling, the town has made quite a name for itself in the past years as a city guaranteed to leave the compulsive gambler broke. Whenever someone wants a way to waste money and is tired of the derby, they merely need to turn their attention to the slot machines and watch their hard earned cash drip away.
